Ashley and Henry: falling all over again
Ashley and Henry’s day was beautiful, start to finish, inside and out! Laughs, fun moments, and a few tears along the way. I couldn’t be happier for the two of them.
Their day started separated from each other with Ashley and her girls getting ready at a wonderful bed and breakfast in the Ancaster area as Henry and his troop gathered in Oakville at his brother’s home.
When I arrived at the house I was warmly greeted by Ashley, her mother and the bridesmaids. We had a great morning chatting and getting hair and makeup done. I didn’t get my hair or makeup done...just to be clear. The bed and breakfast provided more than enough locations to shoot Ashley’s beautiful gown and flowers.
Both locations served as great gathering spots for the two happy sides of this wedding party; lots of smiles and cheery people. You could tell everyone was happy for this couple and more importantly this couple was thrilled to be committing to each other this day.
Finally we found our way out to the limo and on our way to another beautiful spot. The Ancaster Mill would host the remainder of our day. The late summer sun was beaming on the grounds of the mill, cascading through the trees and onto the outdoor wedding chapel. Surrounded by the greens of the nearby trees and the running stream drowning out the rest of the world, Ashley and Henry’s ceremony was completed.
Immediately following we took place in the Mill’s tradition of taking a group photo of everyone at the wedding! We took full advantage of the Mill and all its photo locations before briefly sneaking away with the bride and groom to a nearby falls for a few photos!
Looking out at the falls, their guests were seated for dinner in the Mill’s elegant banquet hall. The reception was wonderful! We took a pause after the first course to take part in a traditional tea ceremony. Ashley’s red gown shone. It was great to see two cultures come together as the couple came together in celebration.
We also found some time to take a few sparkler photos as night fell! I always love experimenting with different shot types. You never know what will come of it! Eva, my second shooter, and I had a great time manning the photobooth as the dance started. So many laughs always surround the photobooth.
I really felt like I got to be part of Ashley and Henry’s wedding day. I am always part of my couple’s weddings but sometimes you feel a little more included in things.. definitely a testament to Ashley and Henry’s inviting, friendly and jovial nature!
I was so happy to be part of this day! Congratulations to this happy couple. Have a look at Ashley and Henry’s wedding day!
